Weekly Rounds Vol. 22

lucite bar cart

I’m not exactly sure how it got to be Thursday. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my Tuesday night looked more like a Saturday? Your guess is as good as mine. How has your week been?

I’ve got a something different planned for tomorrow, so I’m switching things up today (hi, story of my life) by sharing this week’s links below. Enjoy!

  • The gals over at Open Door Shop sent me a few goodies to kick off the summer, including this mini pineapple bowl and these cocktail napkins and they’re passing on some love to you, too! They’re offering 20% off the entire shop with code 26Counting through the month of July. This neon necklace caught my eye and I’m thinking about scooping up a few of these copper mugs on account of the fact that Pete’s been all about the Moscow Mule lately.
  • lucite bar cart that is admittedly way out of my price range, but chic nonetheless.
  • I had my first experience at The Hair Parlour last night and as expected, I didn’t leave disappointed. This video from The West 18th Street Fashion Show offers up a little taste of what you can expect when you sit down in one of their chairs. #magical
  • Have you seen Fed Up? The donut/cupcake/cookie lover in me is equal parts curious and anxious to watch.
  • “Mandy can make you believe you can take on the world, even if you aren’t so sure.” Great company to keep, if you ask me. Catch the full girl crush round up here.
  • A strappy camisole so good, I bought it in three colors for both work and play. I blame Hallie for this one.
  • If you’re a Nordstrom Rewards Member, you’re in luck. Early access to the Anniversary Sale starts today – shop to it! (side note: I signed up for the Nordstrom debit card, which gives you the same early access to the sale. It acts as a debit card straight from your bank account so you aren’t burdened with credit card balances/fees/etc.)
  • I ordered this dress from Emily’s new line for my birthday dinner tomorrow night and I’m crossing my fingers it fits! If it ends up being a keeper, I see it getting a lot of wear through the summer and well into the fall – paired with a jacket and booties.
  • In case you missed it: the best dry shampoo and the “essentials” you need for summer.

Anything juicy that I missed this week? Don’t be shy!

I’m actually impressed at the price points for Emily’s line — I assumed they would be super high.

  4. I agree with Rachel’s comment, I for sure thought her prices would be in the $300’s at least.

  5. ‘Fed Up’ is on my list of docs to watch- nothing like a good documentary to inspire you to get healthier! Happy early birthday! (maybe you should watch Fed Up after your bday, at least that way you can enjoy your sugar in peace!)

I watched Fed Up last weekend. Definitely eye opening and a little scary. We made some easy changes to reduce our sugar intake. I highly recommend it!

‘Fed Up’ was really good, but it definitely made me cringe thinking about all the sugar I eat!
