Your New Best Friend

I think I speak for most of us when I say that I’ve found myself wrapped up in the perpetual state of busy. The constant battle to coordinate schedules and get everyone in one place is ever-present and when you factor in the fact that summer is coming, the problem only gets worse.

My goal every morning is to make myself look presentable to the world in the shortest amount of time as possible, which is much easier said than done!

the best dry shampoo on the market

Moroccanoil asked me to give their new dry shampoo a go and after I found out they formulated a product specifically for those of us with darker locks, I was in. Goodbye, ashy roots from the sample products I’ve been trying for months. Hello, fresh hair without all that wash-condition-blow dry-straighten nonsense.

go from gym to happy hour with this dry shampoo

Like I mentioned, traditional dry shampoos have left me with a white residue that diminishes my natural shine (gross), but never fear, Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Dark Tones uses ultra-fine rice starches that break down and dissipate before I can even blink an eye. My next-day hair has never looked so good.

tips to take you from gym to happy hour in 5 minutes flat

Quick tips for use:

  • Position bottle 6–8” away from hair roots and generously spritz into 2” sections of hair
  • Massage into scalp with fingertips to activate the formula and distribute product
  • With a brush or thin comb (I use a thin comb), gently brush hair to fully work product into strands and deliver extra volume
  • After you’ve applied the dry shampoo, flash-dry roots with a blow dryer on a low setting to boost volume and set style in place

And don’t worry blondes (and those rocking lighter strands), they created the Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo for Light Tones just for you!

So, now that my secret is out, tell me I’m not the only one who embraces dry shampoo and doesn’t mind the time is saves in the shower each day. Anyone?

Also, in an effort to streamline my morning, I’ve scaled back my daily makeup routine to include only the bare minimum. The products below take me from just-rolled-out-of-bed to meeting ready in 5 minutes, flat.

I have heard many good things about this new dry shampoo and will definitely be trying it! I have dark blonde/light brown hair so I’ll probably try the one for dark tones. I hate dry shampoos that leave your hair with that white/grey residue!
