Weekly Rounds Vol. 14

bedroom inspirationAll together now, T-G-I-F! I’ll start by saying thank you for all of the encouraging words you left for me after my race last weekend – it meant a lot! This week was extremely productive on my end and it felt insanely good to finally tackle some of the big ticket items on my to-do list. Weekends are that much better when you feel like you earned it.

We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s get to it!

  • If you read anything from this list today, make it this Behind the Biz feature with Karrie Kaneda of Happy Habitat. Never, ever have I related to an interview as much as I did this one and I’m not just saying that because she’s a Kansas City gal. I could go on and on, listing off each of my head nodding moments, but I’ll let you see for yourself.
  • I was over on Crane and Canopy this week for a little Q&A action and the breakdown of my bedroom inspiration board (seen above). A few of these pieces are on their way to me now and I’m more than ready to get to work on revamping our space!
  • I usually buy one phone case as soon as I get a new phone and then don’t upgrade to a new one until I get an entirely new phone two years later. Boring, yes. Frugal, hell yes. However, this Rosé All Day iPhone 6 Case has me rethinking my typical plan of action.
  • How to wear double denim (and the best shoes to get you through spring, summer & fall)
  • I want to get my hands on a few of these candles. The catch is that I need them to be empty. I’ve tried eBay and Etsy without much luck. Any ideas?
  • Could Megan look any cuter in scallops and sneakers? I don’t think so.
  • My sweet friend Annie’s site got a fresh new look and needless to say, it’s amazing.
  • I threw this out there and then celebrated a little win by having my first feature go live on Wedding Party. I’ll be contributing over there once a week, so don’t be a stranger!
  • A good friend recently introduced me to Laura who is wildly witty and smart – get ready to be sucked into the black hole that is Talking Shrimp.
  • Did you miss out on the Loeffler Randall sandals I was swooning over during the Shopbop sale? You’re in luck. You can scoop them up for 20% off during their friends + family event this weekend! Use code ‘HEYFRIEND’ at checkout.

I’ve got an action-packed weekend starting with the Creative Chics Kansas City Event this morning! Saturday we’ll be touring the Boulevard Brewery (again, shhh) and I’m looking forward to learning a thing or two at the Bloom Academy floral workshop on Sunday.

In between all that, I’ll be catching up on the glossies that have been sitting pretty (although, neglected) on my coffee table. You know how that goes, right?

WHAT’S ON THE AGENDA FOR YOU THIS WEEKEND?

SHOP BEDROOM INSPIRATION:
Duvet Set // Target Headboard // Wisteria Mirror // Jonathan Adler Pillow // Why Hello Print // Lulu & Georgia Tray // Furbish Studio Bowl

You’re one busy lady this weekend! Love this round up and thanks again for including me, you’re too sweet! Also I’m the exact same when it comes to iphone cases, I’ve been trying to get new cases more often though so it feels like a new phone but a lot cheaper haha;)
