Weekly Rounds Vo. 8

planning a blog editorial calendar

Raise your hand if for every one thing you crossed off your to-do list this week, you added two more. You know, just for the hell of it. For those of you nodding in agreement at your screen of choice – I feel you! I’m welcoming the weekend with open arms, even if it does have jam-packed written all over it.

Say it with me now, T-G-I-F…

Below are a few things that have my attention as of late – I hope you enjoy!

I want to throw everything out and start over. All of it. Maybe this weekend I’ll let my feelings be my guide.

This PSA where young boys were told to slap a girl is astonishing. I have an eight year old brother and I couldn’t help but picture him in this situation. One of the million reasons why I look forward to Felicia’s tweets in the morning.

Ashlei’s about me page gave me major goosebumps.

Add this striped top to my list of wants needs. Old Navy makes it too easy.

Mackenzie shared a slew of things you can accomplish in just a few minutes. Did someone say digital declutter?

Around these parts: blog wives, poms and stripes and Adnan + Vuitton.

I’ve gushed to you all about Annie before. She is extremely talented and I appreciate that she values the little things in life. There’s no doubt in my mind that if we weren’t 1,102 miles away from each other, we would have the best of time.  She asked me to answer a few questions and I am more than happy to oblige!

Describe yourself in three words. These are three words that describe me at this moment in time. I’m determined to make the most of my days this weekend. I’m being careful with my words. I’m open to the idea of breaking out of my comfort zone.

Your last meal on earth would be…A healthy mix of mozzarella sticks with ranch, beer pretzels with cheese sauce, a sprinkled donut and a Boulevard Beer to wash it all down with. I figure I had better go all out if it’s my last.

Song currently on repeat: I can’t hide my love for Ellie’s new song, but next in line would have to be Is This Love by James Arthur. Music to my ears, literally.

Any 2015 blog-related goals? Being the Type A that I am, I talked about my larger goals for 2015 and then broke things down a little further a few weeks later in this post.

Rank ‘em: shoes, jewelry, bags. Shoes — Bags — Jewelry.

Don’t think for a second that I’m letting you get away without sharing a little somethin’ somethin’ with me. Let loose down in the comments or send me a tweet!

Happy weekending, friends 🙂

Was just going through my to-do list and deadlines for the next week at work. I cross half off and double that gets added. I always say it’s better to be busy than bored!

This post was filled with so much juicy goodness! Ashlie’s About Me is so awesome I started a new “About Me” bookmark folder and saved it in there. I need to work on mine!

I completed Unroll Me from Mackenzie’s post. I feel like a new woman!

And I noticed your photo of The B Bar’s blog plan sheets. I seriously just printed those yesterday! Have you done it yet?! I am excited and dreading it all at the same time. Curious if you found/find it helpful?

Mine needs some serious work! That’s on my to-do list as well 😉

I’ve finished most of the sheets! There are still a few areas that I’m working through, but I definitely think they are worth the time. It puts things into perspective and makes me realize why I keep this blog afloat and how much more I want to do with it. Hope your week is off to a great start!

      p/s just emailed you back.

I absolutely love this post and definitely saw the PSA highlighting Italian boys and their amazing response to domestic violence. I hope you had the BEST weekend and gave yourself a much-needed break!
