Best Time To Buy Beauty

Happy Saturday, friends! Just popping in to let you know the Sephora VIB sale started yesterday and runs through Wednesday, November 15th! If you have VIB status, you can shop and save 20% using code 20FORVIB at checkout. And for all you Insiders, you can save 15% using code INSIDER15 at checkout.the best makeup bagsWhether you’re looking to fill in the gaps in your own beauty cabinet or you’re hoping to get a head start on your holiday shopping list, there’s really not a better time to buy beauty as a lot of these products rarely go on sale!

I’ve broken things down into a few different sections to hopefully make it easier for you!

The face products below are what fill the shelves in my own beauty cabinet, but there are a few standouts, like this face butter, which I’ve been reaching for morning and night now that the temps have dropped and the air has gone dry. These eye masks are the perfect pick-me-up before a date or a meeting (or in this morning’s case, an early photoshoot!) and I raved about this day serum in a recent weekly rounds post.

FOR THE FACE:

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter // Origins Charcoal Mask // Drunk Elephant Day Serum // Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate // Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment // Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask // Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream // Boscia Sake Brightening Mask // Boscia Sake Brightening Eye Masks // Dermadoctor C Serum // SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

I’ve been wearing this foundation since August and don’t have plans to switch things up anytime soon. It gives great coverage and is super easy to apply with this brush! I put it on over this hydrating primer, top it off with a little mineral veil powder, swipe on some blush, and call it good.

If you follow me on Snapchat (I’m ‘jessicazimlich’) you might have seen that I accidentally used my Burberry contour stick as a lip color a few nights ago (not going to lie, I might do it again) and they had sent it to me along with this base which I’ve been adding to my little routine above on the weekends when I go out!

MAKEUP:

bareMinerals barePRO Foundation // bareMinerals Luxe Performance Brush // bareMinerals Mineral Veil // Sephora Long Lasting Eyeliner (I wear Mystic Purple. Sounds a little out there, but I get so many compliments on it!) // Burberry Fluid Base // Burberry Luminous Highlighting Pen // Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer // Tarte Blush

FOR THE HAIR:

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo (worth checking out the larger sizes, too!) // Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Conditioner (also in the larger bottle) // Living Proof Dry Shampoo (the duo they have right now is a no-brainer!) // ghd Blow Dryer // ghd Straightener

I get so many compliments on this scent (from both men and women!) and have been wearing it for several years now. I actually just replaced the rollerball version for my purse and before I even got to use it I dropped it in my apartment and it shattered. I haven’t really felt the need to try anything new (if it’s not broke, right?), but I did get a small bottle of this Aerin fragrance over the summer and ended up rotating between the two depending on what I was doing!

Also worth noting: This glass water bottle. I use it every single day – well worth the cost!

ODDS & ENDS:

Kiehl’s Hand Salve // Tweezerman Slant Tweezers // bkr Glass Water Bottle (tons of different color and size options) // Acqua di Gioia For Women // Aerin Waterlily Fragrance

Sephora’s amazing gift section is not one to be missed! You can sort by price, product type, and a slew of other things. I’ve highlighted a few of my favorites below including this Caudelie mini mask set and NARS duo.

HOLIDAY/GIFTS:

Bobbi Brown Mini Lipstick Set // NEST Holiday Candle // Acqua di Gio For Men // SK-II Facial Treatment Mask // SK-II Hydrating Mask Duo // Pinch Provisions Minimergency Kit // Caudelie Mini Mask Trio // NARS Gift Set // Sugar Lip Beauty Box // Brush Set // Naked Palette // NARS Eyeshadow

The list of products I want to try is never-ending, truly. After looking at my round-up it’s safe to say that I love me some face masks. They’re such a great way to unwind from a long day!

PRODUCTS I WANT TO TRY:

Drunk Elephant Babyfacial // Drunk Elephant Facial Oil // Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum // Caudalie Instant Detox Mask // Caudalie Moisturizing Mask // Caudalie Purifying Mask // Dr. Brandt Magnetight Mask // Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel (also comes in a set of 5 treatments for just $16!) // Laura Mercier Caviar Stick

While these aren’t part of the sale (or Sephora at all, for that matter) I couldn’t recommend this Cuyana travel case set more and it fits with the theme here considering you need a place to store the goods. I’m also loving their new heart cosmetic case! Both would make the perfect gift  for your sister, mom, girlfriend, or any other special gal in your life. They do monogramming, too! 😊

If you have any questions about the products or are searching for something specific, let me know down in the comments and I’ll be sure to get back to you right away. I hope you have a happy weekend!

  1. Holy product overload and lust!! I’m kind of bad at trying out new products, once I find something that I like and works I keep re-buying it. I’ve been wanting to try Drunk Elephants products so now I just might have too… haha! Great post and I can’t believe that you used a face product on your lips…. haha! (sometimes they can be a bit confusing!)

    xo, Sarah

I love the Cuyana cosmetic cases! What color is yours? I was going between wanting the creamy white or blush. I don’t want it to be too white or too pink! Wish I could get a real sense of the true colors!

They are the BEST! I have the blush. It’s definitely not too pink (for me, at least). I’ve seen the creamy white in person too and same goes for that one, too. I hope that helps a bit! You will have to let me know which one you end up with 🙂

Thanks so much! I’m thinking I’ll go with the blush as it might not show quite as many spots as the white.

Of course! They wipe clean fairly easily and hold up incredibly well (I tend to be hard on my things haha). 🙂
