Peachy Pink and Perspective

Hey guys, happy Tuesday! You know how I know it’s going to be a good day? I woke up with Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop” playing in my head. No on earthly idea where that came from, but I’m rolling with it.sweater tank and cropped jeansAside from it being one of those songs that just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy when you hear it, it’s a good reminder that perspective is everything and if (more like when, because that’s life) we find ourselves in a place we aren’t too keen on, it’s up to us to make the necessary (and often times uncomfortable) shift to get where we need to be.ย pink sweater tank Yesterday morning I woke up and went for a run along the lakefront (my new favorite thing to do since moving) and then took a little dip in the lake before coming back home to get to work and it was the best start to the week. I capped off the day by getting upside down at yoga and set a pretty lofty goal for myself and this blog that I hope plan to reach by the end of the year – both things that will help get me where I want to be!
the best cropped jeansI’ve been getting a ton of feedback from you all lately (which is amazing!) as I usually do when I share bigger posts like my first year in Chicago and my 30th birthday post. But I’m hoping you can tell me what you want to see more of around here! I always struggle a bit to get back in the flow of talking about “normal” life (if what I do day in and day out is even considered normal ๐Ÿ™ƒ).ย I think it comes down to wanting every post to resonate with you all the way those more heartfelt posts do, but I know that’s not always going to be the case.

So, do tell! Do you like the round-ups? Weekly rounds? Outfits? Do you want to see more lifestyle content? Apartment updates? Promise I won’t leave you hanging like last time.
white crossbody bagI’m also working on another Q&A post. Anything goes! Seriously, I’m an open book. Leave a comment, email me, tweet me, DM me on Instagram, send me snail mail (I love snail mail) – whatever works!
weekend outfit ideasThis outfit (or some version of it) has been my summer uniform. I know, you’re probably thinking jeans? In the summer? I didn’t realize this time last year just how mild Chicago summers are compared to the heat and humidity Kansas City is known for. This sleeveless sweater, the cropped skinny jeans I’ve been wearing non-stop since January (shhh), and these espadrilles have been working overtime in my wardrobe.

As usual, thank you so much for reading and for following along with me – I can’t say it enough!

My internal clock no longer allows me to sleep in! It’s a tragedy, really. But I won’t lie, it always feels good getting so much accomplished before the rest of the world is awake ๐Ÿ™‚
