I always treat myself to a little dose of retail therapy for my birthday and lucky for me, one of my favorite retailers always pulls through with just the thing! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here and per usual, it’s good.Right now, only Nordstrom card holders have access to the sale (the sale opens to the public on July 21st!), so if you haven’t signed up already and you want to, you can do so here. Just make sure you request to get immediate access so you don’t have to wait for your card in the mail and can start shopping today! A faux leather jacket (for under $65!) is a super versatile piece to have in your closet. I’ve worn mine with everything from dresses and tennis shoes to heels and skinny jeans! And the suede version comes in several colors if that’s more your style.

I fell in love with these velvet flats (I gravitated toward the navy, naturally) and this striped shift dress which comes in black, too! Just be sure to size down (maybe even two sizes) in the dress – it runs big!

I can’t say enough good things about my Stuart Weitzman boots. Even with the sale, they’re an investment, but as long as you take care of them they will last for years – firm believer in cost-per-wear over here! I also found these super affordable over-the-knee boots. I will say that the SW pair are the only ones that stay up on my thighs (I tried four different pairs before pulling the trigger on these!) so if that’s a concern for you, it’s something to think about.

Wardrobe staples: booties and high-rise skinny jeans.

If you’re in the market for a waterproof jacket, this Barbour jacket fits the bill. Can’t go wrong with this quilted jacket for fall either.

Gym essentials: A fun sports bra, Nike Air Max Thea sneakers, and this Longchamp waterproof tote to toss everything in.

I practically live in these Madewell jeans! My best friend borrowed them while she was visiting over the weekend and was planning to buy them for herself as soon as she got home.

A few other share-worthy items: This Free People sweater, the cult-classic NARS set, a trendy straw basket, and this candle set – these are great to keep on hand when you need to throw together a thank you or housewarming gift! Just attach a personal note to one and you’re set.

It’s something I often overlook, but it can really come in handy when navigating a site with as many products to offer as Nordstrom.
