Hello November

I once vowed never to use the term “radio silence” here on the blog but, alas, here we are. I’m so sorry for the radio silence, friends! How are things?little navy blue dressIt’s hard to comprehend that we’ve only lived in Chicago a little over three months because so much life has happened since. And just as things start to calm down on the personal front, it’s time to gear up for the holiday season! So crazy to think about.

I’m exceptionally excited to start sharing more holiday-centric content (read: gift guides – one of my favorite type of posts to put together – layered looks and everything in between) as we move throughout the last two months of the year. Just the thought of experiencing the magic of the season in this special city has me itching to turn on the Christmas tunes! Although, who’s to say I haven’t already?
collared dress + kitty flatsNovember came in like a lamb here in Chicago and I can’t say that I minded. I imagine this feeling stems from knowing good and well what lies ahead for the rest of the fall and the winter season! Until then, it’s bare legs, velvet flats and the most flattering fit and flare dress!

I stayed up wayyy past my bedtime last night to watch the Cubs clench the World Series title – woo! My baby sister flies in later this afternoon and we’ve got plans to eat tons of delicious food, do a little shopping/wandering, visit a few museums and now, get a front row seat to the Wolrd Series parade – last year’s event in Kansas City was unlike anything I’d ever seen before!
bow tie ribbon sweaterBefore you go, this ribbow tie sweater I recently picked up is already selling out like hotcakes. I can’t wait to dress it up with a skirt and tights or wear it with a pair of jeans and booties for a more casual look this holiday season!

A few quick tips as you’re shopping: My go-to holiday party dress is currently 40% off at Nordstrom! If they don’t have your size, I’ve linked to a few other sites who have it in stock as well. I’m usually a size 6 in US sizing and I’m wearing a size 2 here in “Ted Size.” As for the kitty flats, they run a little big! I’m normally a 39 (8.5), but am wearing a 38.5 here (8). I hope this helps!
