Weekly Rounds Vol. 38

Friday, we made it!

fresh tulips

First off, I want to say thank you to all of you who read my post yesterday (not to mention everyone who took the time to comment and share their own experience). In an odd turn of events, writing something so personal really boosted my desire to get back to blogging on more consistent basis. While I’ve always been an advocate of putting the ‘life’ into lifestyle blogger, I was reminded several times this week that consistency is everything.

Here’s what I loved this week…

AROUND THE WEB/WORLD:

I’ve spent a good part of the last two weeks fighting off a terrible cold (a result of my severe pollen allergy) and the lingering cough that came with it, but I’m finally feeling more like myself again. I eased back into my workout routine at Bar Method last night and holy hell, I wanted to cry by the third set of thigh! So maybe eased wasn’t the right word to use there?

We don’t have any official plans on the agenda for this evening which doesn’t bother me in the slightest because tomorrow we’re getting the gang back together for some daytime shenanigans (read: grilling out, yard games and drinks!)

What do you have on deck for the next few days?

Did you read or write anything share-worthy this week? If so, pop a link down in the comments!

As usual, I’ll be sharing tidbits from the weekend over on Instagram, TwitterSnapchat (jessicazimlich) and Facebook!

Whoa Springfield! Way to bring your A-game with that Rum Club spot! I did a double take looking at their website because I totally thought it was in Miami, not Missouri haha Please go for me and tell me all about it!

  3. I LOVE Origin products. My favorites are the Ginzing Moisturizer and the Checks & Balances face wash. This code is amazing!

  6. Thanks for including me in the weekly round-up Jess and I can totally relate to the healthy habits post. Sometimes life gets crazy and the first thing to slack off at is taking care of ourselves, seems to make sense in the moment but in the long run is only setting ourselves up for failure. I always try to take a day after a crazy week to focus on pampering, turning off my electronics (social media scrolling included) and regroup. Also, the best advice someone gave me once was we only feel as bad as we make ourselves feel because in reality we’re our own worst critic. So from an outside perspective, you look fabulous and you’re doing amazing things so don’t be too hard on yourself;)

    • P.S. when you move to the city, I’m thinking workout partners? You in? haha

Of course we can! 😉 It’s so true though…our personal well being is always the first to go, when in all reality, it should be our main focus each day. I’m going to remember that little nugget next time I feel like things are spiraling out of control.
