I Am Busy

Woah, hello! Before we dive into today’s post, allow me to say that I didn’t intend to leave this space unattended for as long as I did. Even though this blog is an inanimate object, the community which takes place here and across social media is a living, breathing thing and the separation anxiety I feel is real!

I could go on and on about how busy I’ve been and how much energy I’ve been pouring into life behind the scenes, but I’ll spare you (and fill you in on all the details as soon as I can)!

spring break style

We’ve reached the point in winter where I’m no longer interested in adding to my cold-weather wardrobe and with good reason, considering the temperature has surpassed the 70 degree mark several times in the past few weeks. I’ve got one thing on my mind: Beach, please! (or lake/pool/any other body of water, really)

The Shopbop spring sale is going on through the weekend and I’ve got my eye on a slew of pieces fit for fun in the sun, as well as several everyday basics (jeans, tees, etc.) to get me through spring. The sale is structured like this: Save 15% when you spend $250 or more, 20% when you spend $500 or more and 25% when you spend $1,000 or more. Use code BIGEVENT16.

This straw tote would be great for a trip to the Farmers’ Market, a picnic in the park or even a tropical vacation. As ridiculous as it feels to type this out, I really wanted an inflatable swan for pool days and our annual trip to Table Rock Lake last season, but I was sad to find they were all sold out. You better believe I’m not letting that happen again. This white tote on the other hand, came with me everywhere. I bought these slide on sandals in silver last year, but the nude would go with so many of the things I already have in my closet! We can’t forget my favorite pair of distressed denim (and the only pair of jeans shorts I currently own – they’re that good). I’m beginning to sound like a bit of a broken record when it comes to Marysia Swimsuits, but how could I not? This one piece with cutouts is white hot.

If you’re looking for something in particular, I suggest searching by designer and narrowing it down from there. And don’t be afraid to use the search bar, either! It’s something I often overlook, but it can really come in handy when navigating a site with as many products to offer as Shopbop.

Friendly reminder (but mostly because not even my 20/20 vision can read the fine print on the photo above): The sale ends Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:59pm Pacific Time and items tend to sell out fast!

Last thing before you go, if you’re a Kansas Citian (or even just a Royals fan) you can enter to win a Kansas City sequin tee over on Instagram! The giveaway closes at noon today!

Happy March, friends!
