I’m Thankful

Now is as good a time as any to reflect and take time to meditate on what we’ve been given in this life and I thought it’d be appropriate to share my thoughts with you here – especially since you’ve been inundated with gift guides and less “real life” over the past few weeks.

By nature, I don’t always take the time I need to slow down and process, but I’m getting there and this list is a result of me taking a few moments to really let it all soak in.

I’m thankful for my families and each and every person that make those families whole. Even if we could be classified as a walking, talking circus act.

I’m thankful I’ve got a mom who’s okay with me missing her Thanksgiving dinner (opting for takeout the night before instead) so I can make it to see everyone mentioned above.

I’m thankful for friends who are like family. Their endless support of my blogging endeavors (always liking, sharing, retweeting and commenting on my posts) doesn’t go unnoticed. They’re also there when life calls for a strong drink and a long, hard cry.I’m thankful for the reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised, and the opportunity to spend another year in the kitchen with my Grandma Pam and my stepmom, Rhonda.

I’m thankful for the lifelong partner I have in Pete. The unwavering love he pours into our relationship is something I am so, so grateful to experience.

I’m thankful for the newest addition to my family, sweet Camilla

I’m thankful to have my Grandma Kathy to exchange new book titles with (she actually predicted the ending of Luckiest Girl Alive just a few chapters in).

i'm thankful for..

I’m thankful my Dad still texts me things like, “Is today your birfday? I love my first little girl!”

I’m thankful my Nana loves to text ridiculous strings of emojis just as much as I do.

I’m thankful for YOU, the people who read my blog. I don’t tell you this enough, but you push me to be better in all aspects of my life and I am forever grateful for the support system I have here.

What’s one thing/person/experience you’re thankful for?

Wherever you are and whoever you’re with, I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving to the fullest! Oh, and pass the mashed potatoes, please 😉
