Sometimes you just need to get away, and that’s precisely what we did. Pete and I joined our friends Whitney and Keith, loaded up the car and made the 12-hour trek south the Thursday before last for a welcomed vacation. 
First stop once we got into Houston, the #biscuitpaintwall. Okay, technically our first stop was Whataburger for breakfast, but that’s not nearly as exciting. If you haven’t been, it’s a great photo-op outside the cutest home goods boutique, Biscuit Home!
After spending the night with our friends Sydney and Mark, the six of us made our way to Galveston to hop on a cruise bound for Mexico. As for the rest of the trip….
We spent two days off the ship, one in Progreso and the other in Cozumel – both offered up blue water and blue skies for days.

We bonded, boozed on the beach and generally enjoyed breaking away from the routine of everyday life. Everyone needs a break once in a while, ya know? It’s good for the soul.

By far the best swimsuit I’ve ever owned. I got so many compliments on the quality! They run SUPER small. I got a large in bottoms and a medium in the top. I hope that helps! Enjoy the weekend ahead, Amanda
