Playing With Texture

Evidence of a weekend well-spent is apparent by the ache in my cheeks and the extra baggage that seems to have made its way under my eyes. Several days of fun in the sun (and non-stop laughter) will do that to ya, you know?

Spending time off the grid was just what the doctor ordered and subsequently, a tall glass of green juice is up next.

How was your weekend?

After a quick scan of the extended forecast, it appears we’re settling into that strange in-between phase during seasons. Crisp, cool mornings, followed by afternoons in the 90s. What’s a gal to wear?

I’m singing the same tune when it comes to feeling comfortable in an outfit, but this time, I’m playing with all the textures for some added depth. Cutouts, lace, distressed denim, faux leather…the gang’s all here!

This week I’m all about playing catch up and getting ahead – a bold word for a Monday, but I’m feeling extra motivated and inspired to hammer out some of the ideas that have been brewing in my head. I hope your week is off to a great start!

  4. I love that top, and how you styled it for summer! I think it would look great during the fall under a cardigan with leather accessories! Great pick!

Yay, thank you! I went with the 26. I normally wear 27, but they were too big so I exchanged them! I would definitely size down 🙂
