Weekly Rounds Vol. 19

Friday going into a normal weekend always results in a resounding “yay!” But a Friday going into a holiday weekend? That’s a whole different ballgame!good for the soul

Behold, your weekly round up of links that are sure to satisfy your desire to procrastinate until that 5 o’clock whistle blows.

  • After my friend Erin came to watch me cross the finish line at my last half marathon she was mildly concerned that I ran 13.1 miles with my phone in my hand (with good reason). I’ve never been a fan of the arm bands and I hadn’t found another alternative until she hooked me up with a SPIbelt. Take it from me when I say, it’s a lifesaver. I never knew how awesome it felt to run with both hands free.
  • Caitlin over at Glitter Guide dished on the steps she took to become more productive – I do several of these already. What about you?
  • This bracelet was recently restocked and I scooped one up for myself yesterday. It will go with pretty much everything I own which makes it worth the splurge!
  • Annie’s trip to Harbour Island has given me a serious case of wanderlust.
  • And since Annie was out of town, I fawned over Sarah’s Instagram snaps of Charleston!
  • Kansas Citians, you all remember that free sunset yoga class that was taking place on a rooftop downtown a few weeks back? Well, it’s been postponed twice now due to weather. June 10th is the new date to come and get your namaste on.
  • I’m in desperate need of this tote for the pool/lake/quick grocery trips all spring and summer long.
  • I love how thoughtful Victoria’s posts always are and her rundown on all things palm print won me over.
  • There are a slew of Memorial Day Weekend Sales going on – surprise! Old Navy has everything marked down up to 50% off, while everything at J. Crew is 30% off with code WEEKEND and if you haven’t already shopped the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale (hello, up to 40% off and free shipping), get to it – things are going fast! I missed out on the one pair of sandals I wanted. Damn my average-sized feet.
  • I linked up with 36 other bloggers this week to discuss how we’re preparing ourselves for the future. My answer might surprise you.

I’m so anxious to get the long weekend started, but before then, there are a few loose ends from the week that need tied up. We’re doing dinner with friends tonight and *planning* to do a little grilling out/yard games with friends on Sunday, weather permitting (there is currently 100% chance of rain). Top that off with a few workouts and a blog project and it makes for a pretty great weekend. Cheers to a long one filled with fun in the sun and your favorite people!

Love the neon sign in the image above, so fab! Oh my gosh all the sales this weekend are going to put a dent in my credit card bill, but they are just too good to resist! Annie’s post about Harbour Island had me dreaming of a vacation getaway!

Ooh I might have to try that belt. I also carry my phone when I run because the arm bands annoy the heck out of me! Have a fun weekend! I’m praying the weather cooperates….
