You guys, I’m not sure what has gotten into me, but the Sunday sads were nowhere to be found last night. Instead, they were replaced with an overwhelming sense of excitement for the week ahead – which as you can imagine was a welcome feeling!
All in favor of starting every week off like this, say “aye!”
These next few months are looking extremely promising. Perhaps it’s the anticipation that is fueling this particularly good mood I seem to have found myself in.
I can’t wait to get back up to Chicago and be reunited with Sarah (and hopefully some others!) in July. We will be attending the Simply Stylist Conference, but I made sure to tack on a few extra days so that we can do all the things while I’m up there – especially since I haven’t visited the city in the summer before.
In the spirit of not getting too ahead of myself, I let my mind wander to the other amazing things that will be happening before then. There are First Fridays to roam around, birthdays to celebrate (including this blog’s second year and the big 5-0 for my sweet Dad!), pool days with best friends, followed by firing up the grill, new fitness studios to try, a family get-together at the lake, trips to Murray’s Ice Cream – the list goes on and on.
I’m dreaming of all the ways I can spice up my wardrobe for these events, both big and small. But also making sure to be mindful when it comes to adding pieces that will take me through several seasons and can easily be mix and matched with what I already own.
A classic cami paired with dainty jewelry, fiery nails (in my new favorite color) and a panama hat will get me through juuuust fine.

I am! As long as it doesn’t look as funny as the J. Crew version on my head haha. I just took my first Vinyasa Yoga class with Fit Formula last night and it was amazing! I’ve also been meaning to get over to Body Lab KC…have you been? If not, would you want to go with me?! 🙂
