Out With The Old

The weekend is always too short, isn’t it? I’m 99.9% sure there is a direct correlation between how much fun you had and how bad the Sunday blues are, and this weekend certainly proved that theory to be right.

I hit the pavement for 7 miles for half marathon training on Saturday morning and the feeling in the air reminded me why I love running so much. It was crisp and calm and there was nothing but me and the music. That afternoon, we met up with friends to grill out and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a few Irish Ales before watching our beloved Jayhawks lose. Sunday morning meant a brunch recap was in order and we laughed at the hilarity of the day before (you know, the kind of conversation makes your cheeks ache) and then vegged out the rest of the afternoon. Can you blame us?! I’m feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the week!

I’ve rounded up a few items that I’ve added to my wardrobe lately and a few others that I’ve got my eye on, including this striped cardigan from LOFT. Loren Hope’s new collection is so good. Just when I think she couldn’t produce anything more lust-worthy than she already has, she debuts these venus studs (hello, heart eyed emoji). This stripe pocket tee is super soft and I love layering this chambray shirt over it. The evidence is in the insta.

Spring Must Haves

I’ve been toying with the idea of hosting an Instagram sale to pass on some of the items that have been sitting pretty in my closet, but I no longer wear/use enough to justify keeping. I figured I better gauge any interest before I put something together and that’s where you come in! Any takers? Also, has anyone had any success in doing this before? I’d love to hear whether or not you thought it was worth it.

Monday, here I come!

SHOP THE POST:

Crew Stripe Pocket Tee // Bauble Bar Cuff // Forever 21 Blazer // Rifle Paper iPhone Case // Old Navy Shift Dress // LOFT Clutch // Essie Polish in Sunday Funday // Loren Hope Venus Studs // Loren Hope Cuff // LOFT Cardigan

  2. I have that same ON dress in my cart currently and an ON version of that striped tee. My LOFT online cart is also wayyy full and I love your cardi you chose. Great post. I use the poshmark app to sell clothes from my closet and it works really well for me (sometimes things take a while to sell and sometimes it goes quick)!

I loved that picture of you and Pete on Instagram this weekend during your green beer festivities! SO CUTE! Sounds like a great weekend. I’ve gotten a few new things for spring and purged a ton of stuff from my closet this weekend. I know I could give away a lot more, but then there are those things you never wear but think you may so you keep:) It’s a never ending battle. Hope you’re having a great Monday!!

Aw, thank you! It was SO bright out (not that I’m complaining). It really is. I’ve had things I haven’t worn since we moved to Kansas City three years ago and it’s TIME.

I think I officially need to be cut off from buying anymore stripes… Its getting ridiculous. I’m currently shopping for a pair of Chucks (just decided on color) and some printed shorts.

No such thing! I tried on a pair of chucks a few weeks ago and I didn’t like the way they looked on me! I love them on everyone else, figures. Maybe I should try a different color.

I was just telling someone else that my sister has used it before! She sold a ton at first and then her account died down (probably because all of the good stuff sold) haha. I might end up doing that if I decide against Instagram. Happy Tuesday, Jen!

Love this! And love the idea of an insta sale. My friend and I had plans to spring clean and host a garage sale, but we both decided we didn’t want to deal with the hassle. So I’m currently in the process of setting a simple website to showcase all of our goods (my mom wanted to contribute some of her stuff, too!). Hopefully that method will save a lot of time and stress.

I’m excited to see what you have for sale 🙂
