#BookClubBlogger – Yes Please

Sleep hasn’t come as easily as it usually does for me and my thoughts have been a mixture of highs and lows. This week has been amazing, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I let the internet get the best of me. Hallie recently said, “I also do this thing where I apply meaning to other people’s actions, so I’m going to stop doing that, too.” I can’t help what other people put out into this world, but what I can control is my reaction and how I move forward with those types of relationships in the future.

I briefly mentioned the full moon in Cancer and while I normally don’t buy into the hype, it’s quite apparent what’s been going on here. I’m following Elizabeth’s lead and allowing my feelings to be my guide and that means it’s time to start implementing change.

…but enough about me, you came for the next book club read!

By this point, you’re probably thinking we forgot all about announcing the next #BookClubBlogger meet up and you would be approximately 78% correct in that assumption. The thought has been in the very back of my mind, while the book has been patiently sitting on my shelf, just waiting for me to break in the perfectly crisp pages.

virutal book club - Yes Please

You probably know the drill: we pick a book, read it and enjoy a fulfilling discussion whilst drinking an adult beverage and noshing on our favorite salty snacks. Sounds like a good time, right?

Below are some key things to know:

Reading: Diving head first into Yes Please by Amy Poehler
Meeting: We will be hosting a Google Hangout on Monday, February 16th at 7:30 p.m. CST. Like I said, even though this is virtual, wine and cheese plates are encouraged.
Share: Feel free to link up your posts on social media using #BookClubBlogger – think cozy reading spaces, highlights from the book and any questions you might want to cover during the hangout!

RSVP: If you’re planning on joining in on the action, let me know in the comments below! The more the merrier. Also, be sure to RSVP for the hangout to Sarah at thekissingboothslc@gmail.com. Our first meeting had a few too many people and although we didn’t break the internet, not everyone was able to participate and we don’t want that!

Any questions? Ask away.

Last month we discussed  Dream Year and even got to chat with the author, Mr. Ben Arment himself. I make no promises this time around, mostly because Amy’s people haven’t gotten back to me.

Make the most of your weekend and I’ll catch you back here first thing on Monday morning!
