For as long as I can remember, my step mom and grandma have taken their annual Christmas shopping trip during the month of October. I’m sure you’re thinking, “That’s way too early.” Trust me, making my Christmas List before Halloween was always a bit of a struggle, but somehow I managed to survive. I used to think they were being a tad bit overzealous, but the older I get, the more I realize how their proactive planning allows them to avoid the crowds. And while the rest of the world shops frantically at the very last minute (hey dad!…kidding), they’re already onto the next big thing – Christmas candy.
I decided to spice up my wish list this year by filling it with items that I fancy, rather than the typical and practical pieces that I need (I’m looking at you, bed sheets). This was way more exciting! Santa, I sure hope you’re following along.
