Music is like a time machine. It has the ability to transport you back to a certain place in the past. Last week I mentioned meeting up with an old friend from elementary school and this is a prime example of music doing just that. Music is a friendly reminder of good times, not-so-good times (and how far you’ve come) and it’s a reminder that life is always changing.
My taste in music is all over the board and if you need proof, this list has me covered. One of the things I love most about Pete is his exceptional taste in tunes and his keen ability to track them down before the radio stations get their hands on ’em. He caught me hook, line and sinker when it came to Sam Smith and his newest music finds are proving to be just as good. Clearly, I can’t take full credit for this mashup, except for the uber girly songs, those are all mine.
I’m positive these songs will always remind me of the summer of ’14 (not nearly as catchy as the summer of ’69, but no one has written a song about it yet).

This is a great list that I can’t wait to check out! I’ve been listening to the same Lumineers album for a while now and need something new in the rotation. I did just buy an old 70s album–Procul Harum who sings “Whiter Shade of Pale”. I heard it in a movie recently, and it was one of those songs I just wanted to play on constant repeat:)
