It’s a sweet life.

You all probably know me well enough by now to know that I’m a sucker for a good list. I’ve seen these around lately and it got me thinking about what my answers would look like. Once I got started on one, I just couldn’t stop.

making | Sure I wake up early enough each morning so that I can enjoy a calm start to the day.
cooking | Err. I don’t really cook all that often. I know, poor Pete.
drinking | Juice Stop fruit smoothies like they are going out of style. It was all over for me once I found out there was a shop just 5 minutes from our apartment.
reading | Where’d you go, Bernadette. Written by Maria Semple.
wanting | To learn calligraphy. Let’s just say that my attempts thus far have been nothing short of embarrassing.
looking | Forward to one of my best friends bachelorette party in August.
playing | Sam Smith on repeat.
remembering | That we’ve come a long way from where we started.
trying | New workout classes. Bar Method is seriously addictive.
watching | The Big Bang Theory episode when Sheldon “interviews” Leonard to be his roommate. Hilarious.
deciding | I’m not a very decisive person, but when duty calls…see buying (down below).
wishing | On a fallen star. (LFO throwback, holllaaa)
planning | What to do around here for this teeny blog’s 1st birthday. Any ideas?
enjoying | My new desk setup – it’s the little things!
waiting | More like longing for the day when I no longer have to hear my neighbor yell at her dog outside my window.
liking | All of the inspiring people I follow on Instagram.
wondering | If my good friend Hannah’s baby is going to be here early, late or right on time. I’m anxious to meet that precious little girl!
needing | A vacation. Preferably one that involves a beach and drinks with tiny little umbrellas.
wearing | Socks with holes in them. Didn’t I just buy new socks?
noticing | That some people just don’t get it and probably never will.
smelling | Like I stepped straight out of an Oribe salon on the daily, thanks to my sweet sister.
thinking | About how much I enjoyed walking around River Market last Sunday. I picked up a few stems for the apartment and enjoyed a delicious, chocolate filled beignet.
buying | A new car, but not by choice. This is now past tense, as in bought.
feeling | Thankful that I have someone like Pete who is always there for me, no matter what sort of crazy talk is spilling out of my mouth.
I’m hoping to start reflecting on life every couple of months or so by doing this. I think it will be refreshing to take a peek back and do a little comparing of my past and present.

What would some of these look like for you? Are you planning anything big or drinking anything fun?

  5. I need a beach vacation, too. Wade and I have been talking about one for forever, but haven’t been able click the purchase button. I need to put it on my to do list. I like this idea of making lists to reflect on in the future to see what’s changed and what hasn’t:)
