Weekend Wine Walk

I consider myself to be a considerably lucky person. Not only am I surrounded by the best friends and family a girl could ask for, but I’ve been lucky enough to win some fun stuff recently. My philosophy? You gotta play to win. I was thrilled when Kansas City Power and Light District contacted me letting me know I won VIP tickets to the 14th Street Wine Walk. They came at the perfect time since my girlfriends and I were planning to hit the town for my good friend Erin’s birthday. A little wine and some fun in the sun was just what we needed!

red + white wine
We kicked things off at Maker’s Mark inside Power and Light and then ventured on to The Dubliner, Gordon Biersch and Bar Louie. After taste testing several different reds and whites and pausing for a few photos ops, we made our way to Bristol Seafood Grill, The Kill Devil Club and Drunken Fish.

shopping + champagne
I didn’t make it to the Go Blog Social after party, but I did get a taste of what it was like when the wine walk ended at The Garment District Boutique. It’s such a fun atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back for a shopping party and some champagne in the near future! We finished with some bubbly and sweet treats before heading to dinner. Does the fact that I ate my dessert first really surprise you?

I also won this amazing Kate Spade crossbody bag from Tulip down on the Country Club Plaza a few weeks back. They host monthly contests over on their Facebook page which features new styles coming to the boutique and other fashion fun. Be sure to like their page so you don’t miss out on updates and giveaways! p/s how cute is this bag?!

What were you up to this weekend?! Hope it was a good one!

  2. Hi Jess,

That wine walk sounds fabulous! That should be nationwide thing and now I wish D.C. had something similar.

So funny, when I was living in Germany there was a Dubliner in the village next to me where everyone would meet!
