Life lately.

Hi guys! This holiday season of pleasant chaos has me running non stop, so I decided to take a little forced breather to reflect on a few important aspects of my life.

Fitness + Health | If you follow along with me on Twitter, you may have read that I registered for a half marathon. Terrifying, I know. My best friend Meg convinced me to run the Rock the Parkway race in April of next year. Not only did she run her first half marathon last summer, but she ran the first 5 miles with a stroller and her daughter, Emery (the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen). She’s a beast. Meg used this training schedule, so I’m planning to give that a try. Have any of you have used a different half marathon training program that you loved? I’ll take all the help I can get.
Blogging | I’m still new to this little (okay, extremely ginormous) thing called the blogosphere. Since starting 26 and Not Counting in July, I’ve learned a ton about the do’s and don’ts of blogging. I’m not ashamed to say that I got a little carried away with my side bar. After reading this post on cleaning up your sidebar, I decided it was time to make a few changes.
With that being said, I’ve done away with the daily mile counter. Let’s be honest, it’s wasn’t the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped working toward my goal of 1,000 miles in one year (see #19). It just means that I’ll be forced to update you and face the numbers, instead of occasionally glancing south of the scroll to see how far behind I am. If you peek to the right, my good friend Hello Cheeseburger has been hanging out! Hello Cheeseburger is one of my favorite online boutiques. Take a minute to browse the site and show them some love, you won’t be disappointed.
Career | I’ve been working in my position as a Marketing Coordinator for the past 6 months now, but I’m still learning the business. I loved reading 10 Ways to Dazzle at a Meeting. I sit in on weekly sales calls, but a lot of the time I don’t feel like I have much to contribute. I don’t want to come across as a boob, so I plan to take these tips to heart.

p/s There is still time to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card!
