Short and salty.

Even though last week was a short week, I took a beating at work. So when Friday rolled around I welcomed it with open arms! Pete and I decided to have a little date night at McCoy’s, one of our favorite places to eat in Wesport. They have a happy hour from 3-6 pm and one of my favorite appetizers to order are the beer pretzels (only $4 and wayyyy better than the ones you get in the mall!). If it was socially acceptable, I would probably drink the cheese sauce through a straw. I really shouldn’t have ordered both the pretzels and a meal, but I just couldn’t resist. I got the chicken tenders and homemade mashed potatoes and Pete opted for the chicken club with french fries. As soon as we boxed up the leftovers and paid the bill the dreaded food coma set in. Needless to say…I didn’t make it to the gym that night. Woops.

This week I am going to work on getting myself caught up on miles, or at least close to caught up. I got a solid 5 in at the gym tonight. I was hoping my sister and I could make it out for an evening walk, but it’s just too hot! Thankfully the weather looks like it will cooperate a  little more toward the end of the week. Classes start back up at Cycle KC this week and I’m looking forward to taking a few spin classes each month as well!

Congrats, you made it through another Monday!
