I decided to treat myself  to a little something this weekend and finally ordered an item from Handmade by Sara Cramer. I mentioned how much I love the beaded pieces she creates in last week’s post. I must admit, I felt like I deserved it after the hellish start to the week I had!

Sara hand crafts each piece of jewelry in her loft located in the Crossroads Art District in downtown Kansas City. I like the idea of shopping local and finding unique items you can’t get anywhere else. I decided to purchase her “mystery box” for $10. I figured I would test the waters and start small.

The anticipation began to build as soon as I hit the purchase now button on Etsy. Just a few short days later I opened my mail box and saw a small brown paper covered box. I was pleased to find a pair of “Stud Dud” earrings in white and bronze. The colors are so versatile, I’ve already worn them twice!
