I’m back for round two. Let me just start by saying I NEED to get back in the gym regularly. How on earth am I ever going to make it to 1,000 miles in the next 353 days if I don’t get started now? Not to mention, I am a much more pleasant person when I take time to get a little sweat sesh in. *Update: I’ve logged 12.75 miles toward my goal (needless to say, I have my work cut out for me!)I’ve been making excuse after excuse when it comes to why I don’t have time to get my butt to the gym. First it was the Fourth of July, which meant booze and excessive eating. Then came my birthday, see previous description. Lastly, I had family visit from Texas on both my Mom and Dad’s side of the family-all in one week! Talk about calorie overload (of course, this was all for the sake of #4 on my list!)
I’m going to make it a goal to get back to the gym 5 days a week. I’m not a cardio one day, strength another kind of gal. I like to do a little of both each time I’m at the gym. Living in Kansas City means the summer months are scorchers. My sister Jordan and I started walking in the evenings a few weeks back, but lately it’s just been too hot! Hopefully things start to cool down so we can resume our gabfests…I mean walks.
Here’s to getting back on track at theGYMkc! After all, it’s coming out of my bank account each month whether I go or not.
